There were many affiliates selling Mass Control 2.0 but we ended up buying from Yanik Silver who was offering Underground Online Seminars I, II & III. Unfortunately we haven’t heard anything from him despite 3 emails. I’d like to contrast this with the level of support we’ve received from Jeryl Massini (Frank’s assistant) who has made my life a lot easier through the whole experience. UPDATE: Yanik’s team has apologized for the lack of communication and has agreed to ship the product first class, as soon as they can. It took 9 days to get my hands on Mass Control 2.0 and that was with a customs charge of £25 (UK).

There’s quite a lot of topics that Kern covers in this seminar and although it’s excellent value for money, either he didn’t time his presentation right or he was cut short… because in the last 10 minutes of the DVD, there’s a feeling that you’re being ushered out of the cinema. Having said that, the DVD has a heck of a lot to offer and here’s why:
- If you actually watch this DVD, follow the exercises and digest what he’s teaching then you’ll almost certainly experience much more success in your business than if you didn’t, because this information is integral to profitable, lasting business relationships with your target market
- Kern delivers these 2 hours in a very easy-to-follow format, with “profanity and jokes” as he puts it, so it’s not boring
- He demonstrates using examples, how applying these methods to your business will leave you ultra-successful
The first part of the DVD teaches us about a term “suspending disbelief” which Frank took from one of his own teachers, John Carlton. Suspending disbelief is all about making those important decisions that have the power to shape our destiny. When we have the opportunity to achieve something we’ve never achieved before, 9 times out of 10 there’s a voice present that tells us why we’re bound to fail (the disbelief). It’s a defense mechanism, and although listening to that voice may sometimes save us from undesirable situations, most of the time it’s keeping us from shaping the life that we deserve. Think for a moment, of all of the things that you’ve ever achieved. They could be things like getting your degree at university or leaving your secure job to become self-employed. Whatever it may be, you understood the element of doubt when you made the decision but you didn’t let it control your actions. If we don’t suspend the disbelief then we don’t progress. If we don’t progress then we don’t achieve what we desire. In Core Influence, we also see the need for more transparency in business – now more than ever. Today’s marketplace is dominated by “get rich quick” schemes that don’t deliver what they promise. It’s giving internet marketers a bad name. Short term profit-based tactics that leave the customer hanging out to dry are no longer sustainable. It is impossible for any business to flourish if it cannot communicate on a core level with its target market – there is simply too much competition. We need to adapt. Most of the time we’re walking around displaying our shell identity. Our shell identity is who we think we should be:
- a pushy salesperson
- an uncompromising lawyer, or
- a politically correct politician.
However, deep down we may really want to be something else, like:
- an active sports person
- a curious traveller or
- a caring philanthropist.
This is what we desire, and this is our true identity – our core identity. In order to communicate effortlessly and effectively, we need to be operating from our core identity – and this means being in touch with who we really are and what we really want. Frank lets us in on some personal stories about how he felt miserable living life through the shell identity paradigm. He used to have Ferrari’s and mansions, but only after realizing that he didn’t have to live his life based on a mental concept, did he begin to experience massive success and massive fulfilment. He also touches on the subject of creating the life you want by knowing what your perfect day would be. There is a quote by Paul J. Meyer that reads:
“What ever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe and enthusiastically act upon must inevitably come to pass.”
It is the law of the universe that like attracts like. Frank elaborates on this when he talks about creating the “perfect day”. By clearly identifying what your perfect day would be, you are 100% more likely to live it out than if you had no idea. Therefore, if we are crystal clear about what it is that we want – sooner or later we will experience it. Lastly, the concept of “Bob” is created so that Kern can run us through how we can apply all these teachings to our target market, positioning ourselves as a real solution provider. If we establish exactly who Bob is and what Bob wants, then we will be able to create a core identity-based relationship which will enable us to effortlessly and effectively sell our products. But it’s not just Kern who is teaching us these fundamental lessons (although he does have a very unique and humorous approach). Old schoolers such as Dale Carnegie, Stephen Covey and Zig Ziglar have been teaching business-related psychology for years. Anthony Robbins is regarded as the most prolific personal development coach today, and he states that success in ANY area of life stems from understanding psychology and being in touch with your inner “desires”. Seeing Frank speak to an audience of 20-45 year old marketers about finding their “core identity” is both endearing and monumental. Endearing because it is obvious that the majority of us don’t fully get what he’s talking about, and monumental because this approach is needed now more than ever, not just in business but in life. I can relate to the efficacy of Frank’s methods, because a few years ago I had to do this exercise for myself. I was a chain smoker and an alcoholic. I was in a job that I hated. I had chronic depression and anxiety, and I felt caged by my lifestyle. Can you imagine how I must have treat other people? Suffice to say, I had few real friends that I could turn to. After becoming clear about what I really wanted in life, and who I really was, I started to make very visible progress. I stopped smoking and drinking, I started exercising more frequently. I quit my job and started my own businesses. I met my dream woman. If I can do all of this from just getting clear about who I am and what I want, then you can too – and that’s Frank’s message.
Part 1: Core Influence Conclusion
The Core Influence DVD is the very bones of MC 2.0 – Frank even mentions that MC 2.0 is built on its teachings. To many, this item alone could justify the entire cost of the MC 2.0 package. What I learned from this DVD is that if we’re going to be wildly successful in business, we really need to start with our minds and how we perceive both our realities and the realities of our customers. If we don’t, we’re not tapping into a huge potential to create a stronger, more lasting relationship that by physics alone – will be equally huge in terms of profits.
