About the Interview

I have to warn you, if you’re a Mass Control owner – you’re going to have to brace yourself for this interview… and I’ll tell you why:

  • We discuss why the 4 Day Cash Machine worked for him, how he thinks it could risk the relationship you have with your list and how to mitigate that risk
  • Mike talks about how he actually made a loss over the whole Mass Control implementation, but how he has no regrets because of what it taught him (and how he has crafted those lessons for his own market and purposes)
  • We discuss how Mass Control was something that Mike found to be inconsistent with his Christian and moral values, and why he’ll never do it again

In order to get this interview underway, I had to request to have the testimonials from Frank Kern’s 4 Day Cash Machine vaults sent over to me. I grabbed all the names and email address and sent a message to each one. Mike was the only person who responded and agreed to do the interview (rather promptly as well, so I was really impressed). Ironically, he was one of the people with the highest profile on that list. It seems to me that successful people that I want to model, are people that regularly reply to their emails, have amazing time management and a willingness to help me generate my own success.

Here are Mike’s 4 Day Cash Machine results:

  • Click to sale conversions averaged 24.5% (1 in 4 purchased!)
  • 236 sales totaling $5,070.15
  • Breakdown by day of sale
    • Feb/19/2008 $1217.51
    • Feb/20/2008 $1171.52
    • Feb/21/2008 $1629.95
    • Feb/22/2008 $791.46

I guess what I’m saying is, it really pays to contact individuals that you want to model, simply because it’s always easier than you think, and more often than not those that are as successful as Mike Stelzner are going to want to help you have what they have – because they’ve been there before and they know how it is.

I would just like to mention that I am very grateful for Mike’s generosity and support to easisell.com/blog, he has been prompt in his correspondence, and powerful yet gracious in his delivery of the subject material.

So, without further ado, enjoy the interview!

p.s. We actually recorded this interview from the top of a mountain, and that’s why you’ll constantly hear us gasping for air.

Just kidding.

    Enjoyed the interview a lot.

The air gasping thing got me laughing hehe :P

Yeah, up there in the mountains it’s rough ;) I’m glad you enjoyed it my friend. There are more interviews to come.

  • http://www.ratracetrap.com/ Stephen – Rat Race Trap

As usual good stuff. Don’t do any more mountain interviews though, it was distracting. :-)

What is your overall evaluation of Mass Control now that you’ve had more time with it?

  • http://www.easidesigns.com Clément Yeung

Hehehehe…. yes, I had many comments about that. High altitudes can be an issue when recording.

I will have to wait on that overall evaluation Stephen, as I’m still pitting it to the test. It is my aim, of course, to let you all know what I think – and also what others think – as I get through it.

    Thanks for the support friend.

    HI Clement,
Very good interview, kept my attention. Plus there was a good balance between the good side & bad side of MassControl.

    Regards
    Martin

  • http://www.easidesigns.com Clément Yeung

Thanks a lot Martin. That’s really what I think is important in this particular interview – that the sides were balanced quite well.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve heard only sugar and spice about the Mass Control system so it was quite interesting to get Mike’s take on it.

    Take care,

    Clément

The event based sale is a great tactic, however the key is list segmentation to avoid burnout. This means inner circles who have bought from those who haven’t. In the end if the goal is to stay in business, is to offer unique selling propositions.

As mentioned in the end of the audio it’s about legitimate scarcity, and unique messaging. People can sniff this out.

Another important. Markets are different. Frank Kern’s market (e.g. dogs training) are typically less savy people, so higher repetition might be more accepted than more sophisticated markets trying to write writing reports.

  • http://www.easidesigns.com Clément Yeung

    Hey Troy :)

Thanks for the input there – some great points. I agree with you that the 4DCM can be run over and over as long as you segment your list.

You probably know that Koenigs runs the 4DCM to his list every week or so, but only the new subscribers.

P.S. You have an interesting blog – very cool info about the “godfather meeting” – I tried to comment but it was asking me to log in. Would be nice to hear some feedback about that event.

  • http://www.whitepapersource.com/ Michael A. Stelzner

    Brad Codd…

Oh if you only paid attention. I never had any issues with the four day cash machine. Did you actually LISTEN to the interview?

I implemented the full Mass Control. The four day cash machine is NOT Mass Control. It is a system that was developed by someone other than Frank and he used it as a bonus when selling the original Mass Control.

I have no issues with a “half off sale spread over four days.” Heck, fire sales have existed before the invention of the Internet.

So pick your battles carefully Brad, because when you say “don’t listen,” maybe you really “should” listen.

Sure James, thank you for letting us know as well! The link should now work :)

Why are comments hidden except when you access them using a phone? That really sucks that I had to find that out the hard way. But at least I was fortunate to find out.

  • Marc

I guess I mean OLD comments specifically… from when this was first posted. Those were some insightful comments. Now you just got me! Bummer :-]

  • http://easisell.com/ Clement Yeung

Hey Marc – unfortunately this is what happens when you use Disqus to manage comments. We did not realize that importing old comments wouldn't work. However, we wanted to have the functionality that came with it.

Thanks for reminding me about that – I will check again to see if they will now import successfully.

And thank you for your input :)

  • Marc Rodill

    Hey Clement,

Nice quick response! Love the blog. You *do* practice what you… preach? Don't you? (I hate that word.)

Either way that would be awesome if you could import them because, man, I was surprised when I checked this post AFTER the fact on my friend's phone.

“…wait …what's that? There's comments? From '09? When did they…? Where from…? Huh? Maybe I missed them before. Sweet. These are really insightful and useful, I'll have to look at them when I get home.”

“…wtf where did they go?” LOL… Okay you get my point. Weird how a phone still picks them up. That was like 2 weeks ago. Anyway thanks for listening.

  • Guest

Yep – well the thing is – we enabled a plugin on the site that makes everything load quicker on mobile devices. I don't think it likes Disqus. You've actually brought this to my attention. Thanks a lot :)
