I love RescueTime, it's just tough to keep it up. I'd be interested to hear about how you're using Rescue Time after a few months. I think it's much easier to monitor others than monitor yourself. It takes time (that could be used for other productive activities) to review and it takes a TON of discipline to review your time on a regular basis.

Thanks for the post and best of luck!

Hey Brian, thanks for your valuable input.

We employ a full time and a couple of part time staff at Easisell and we're using Rescue Time as a way to make sure that they as well, are being honest when they invoice us with Freshbooks.

It will take some time to get used to… and I can be very zealous when I find something that shows promise, but I do think that this is going to put our minds to rest and kick our own asses into gear.

Having said that, there are a bunch of other tools that we already use with a lot of success. One of those being Deskaway: http://www.easisell.com/blog/dsk

I'll update this post in the future to show how we've got on :)

Nice tool. It’s really beneficial to me. Now I can manage my time more since I can track what I have been doing with my everyday activities. I can now trace all my actions and know if I have already done something or I still need to do something this I can do a lot more activities compare than before. Great for time management! Since this blog really helped me a lot, I think it is just right that I will share to you other sites that can help you increase your daily activities.
I am into sales and sad to say I was always on the bottom of our best employee list. I kept wondering what are my officemates secret why they are on the A list. Although it might sound bad, but for months I’ve envied them for their great performance. But after watching HowToBeProductive.com I found out the answer to my long yearn question on how to be productive as my officemates. Thanks to the video I am now our company best employee for two consecutive months. More power Dr. Alex!

Great that you are finding it very useful, the best thing about Rescue Time is that it’s a silent application and requires no data entry. However it doesn’t have the ability to track tasks and activities. I’d be curious to see how you find it compared to the software I am building http://www.timedoctor.com
